Ofqual: Office of the Qualifications and Examinations Regulator

Guides to what we do:

Terms and conditions

'Ofqual', 'we' and 'our' all refer the Office of Qualification and Examination Regulation.

While every reasonable effort is made to ensure that the information provided on this site is accurate, no guarantees for the currency or accuracy of information are made. Our website and material on it are provided 'as is'. It is provided without any representation or endorsement made and without warranty of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to the implied warranties of satisfactory quality, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, compatibility, security and accuracy.

We do not accept any responsibility for any loss, disruption or damage to your data or your computer system which may occur whilst using material derived from this website. We do not warrant that the functions contained in the material in this site will be uninterrupted or error free. Also, we do not warrant that defects will be corrected, or that this site or the server that makes it available is free of viruses or represent the full functionality, accuracy, and reliability of the materials.

In no event will Ofqual be liable for any loss or damage including, without limitation, indirect or consequential loss or damage, or any loss or damages whatsoever arising from use or loss of use of, data or profits arising out of or in connection with the use of our website.

These Terms and Conditions shall be covered by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any dispute arising under these Terms and Conditions shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

Definitive version of electronic documents

The electronic texts of Ofqual documents, which appear on this website, are for information purposes only (as are the printed versions available from our TSO shop).

The definitive version of an Ofqual publication is either the original printed version held by TSO on behalf of Ofqual or, where appropriate, the electronic version on our website. In the case of documents signed by an authorised person, the definitive version is that which has been so signed and which is the original printed version held by us.

Every document published by us contains a unique reference number which can be used to identify differing or updated versions.

For the avoidance of doubt, in the case of any difference between texts, the signed version held by Ofqual shall take precedence over the electronic or printed version. If you have any queries, you can contact us.

Linking to our website

You do not have to ask permission to link directly to the web pages hosted on this website. We would however ask that you do not load the pages into frames or otherwise allow them to appear as if they are part of your site. You must also do so in a way that is fair and legal and does not damage our reputation or take advantage of it, but you must not establish a link in such a way as to suggest any form of association, approval or endorsement on our part where none exists.

You must not establish a link from any website that is not owned by you.

While we give you free permission to link to pages on our site, we cannot guarantee that the pages will always be available or that the content on those pages will not change over time.

Links to third-party sites

Where we provide links to other resources and websites, be aware that we are not responsible for the content or reliability of the linked websites. Linking should not be taken as endorsement of any kind of the website linked to, including any products and services referred to in that website, nor does it imply that there is an association between Ofqual and the operators of that website. We cannot guarantee that these links will work all of the time and we have no control over the availability of linked pages.
