National curriculum assessments: code of practice 2007

This code of practice, with the National curriculum assessments: revised regulatory framework (2006), provides the criteria and identifies the processes that we will apply to the regulation of national curriculum assessments, ensures that the assessments reflect the requirements of the national curriculum and that the results are a true reflection of pupils’ level of achievement.

As a result of ETS Europe's appointment as NAA's delivery partner for national curriculum assessments, there are now some differences between the marking solution for 2008 and that of previous years.  This means that there are some implications for compliance with specific areas of the code of practice for national curriculum assessments which refer to aspects of delivery which have been modernised.

The Code of practice will be updated and reissued for 2008/9 to include these changes.
