Review of the deadlines for GCSE and GCE enquiries about results
Last updated on: 08/04/2008
This review was commissioned by QCA as part of a wider exercise designed to improve the quality of GCSE and GCE marking and enhance public confidence in the examination system. A principal objective of the review was to identify whether there is any scope for changing the current deadlines by which awarding bodies must notify a centre or candidate of the outcome of an enquiry or an appeal. The review also sought to identify the benefits and risks associated with any such changes.
This document was published by the Qualifications and Curriculum Authority (QCA). The regulatory function of QCA is now the responsibility of the Office of the Qualifications and Examinations Regulator (Ofqual). Ofqual regulates qualifications and monitors national curriculum assessments in England.
