Review of GCSE and GCE access arrangements from 2004 to 2006
Last updated on: 08/04/2008
The attached report reviews the access arrangements for candidates taking GCSE and GCE examinations. An access arrangement gives open access to qualifications for candidates with a disability or difficulty that might place them at a substantial disadvantage in an assessment situation. These arrangements must not compromise the assessment of the competence being tested.
The review period was 2004 to 2006 before the extension of the Disability Discrimination Act 2005 to general qualifications.
