Guidance for awarding bodies: Fair access by design - inclusive vocational qualifications

This document is for awarding bodies offering vocational qualifications, their recognised centres, and the regulators of external qualifications in England, Wales and Northern Ireland. It provides advisory guidance on how assessments within vocational qualifications can be designed to give all candidates the fairest possible opportunities to show attainment.

This document was published by the Qualifications and Curriculum Authority (QCA). The regulatory function of QCA is now the responsibility of the Office of the Qualifications and Examinations Regulator (Ofqual). Ofqual regulates qualifications and monitors national curriculum assessments in England.
