Ofqual congratulates students on VQ Day
23 July 2008
23 July is the first ever VQ Day – a celebration of the people who gain vocational qualifications every year, and those who help them achieve this success.
On a visit to Ealing, Hammersmith and West London College to celebrate Vocational Qualifications Day Kathleen Tattersall, Chair of Ofqual, said:
"I would like to whole heartedly congratulate students on gaining their vocational qualifications. These qualifications open doors for learners and can lead the way to better opportunities for individual students and for the nation as a whole.
"Students gaining accredited qualifications can be sure that these are highly thought of by employers and are awarded by recognised awarding bodies. Ofqual is working to ensure that all accredited qualifications are of a high quality and meet the needs of both learners and employers."
