Tina Isaacs

Tina is Head of 14-19 Regulation at Ofqual. She has worked for QCA and its predecessor body NCVQ since 1994. Starting out as a GNVQ advisor, she has since been responsible for GNVQ and AS level pilots before shifting her focus to general qualifications. Following a secondment to work on Curriculum 2000, Tina led a number of teams, including Arts and Humanities, Assessment Development and Secondary Curriculum, and the Curriculum Standards Team.
Tina originally trained as a historian, gaining a PhD in British History from the University of Rochester (New York). After three years of university teaching, she worked for the Democratic Party and then for the National Center on Education and the Economy, an education policy think tank.
