Ofqual statement on national curriculum tests

Ofqual welcomes the QCA announcement that the contractual negotiations with ETS Europe have been completed.
What is of the utmost importance is that schools and pupils receive all the results from this year's tests as quickly as possible and that the review process is carried out fairly and robustly. Ofqual will continue to monitor the completion of this year's test cycle and the review process. We will also be looking closely at the new arrangements for next year's tests because it is vital they lead to successful delivery in 2009.
