The regulatory authorities' accreditation handbook
Last updated on: 08/04/2008
This handbook is intended for use by staff of the regulators of external qualifications and awarding bodies involved in the accreditation process.
This handbook replaces the Accreditation of qualifications for admission to the national framework: Part A awarding body guidance (April 2003) and the Accreditation of qualifications for admission to the national framework: awarding body guidance for Part B proposals (September 2001).
This document was published by the Qualifications and Curriculum Authority (QCA). The regulatory function of QCA is now the responsibility of the Office of the Qualifications and Examinations Regulator (Ofqual). Ofqual regulates qualifications and monitors national curriculum assessments in England.
