Bureaucracy Reduction Group
Last updated on: 01/09/2008
Ofqual fully supports the Government's Better Regulation Agenda and is committed to reducing the regulatory burden on organisations offering qualifications. We play a key role in the Department for Innovation, Universities and Skills funded Bureaucracy Reduction Group (BRG), which reviews the operation of existing policies and scrutinises the design and implementation of new policies to challenge unnecessary administrative burdens in the FE and Training Sector. Key sector delivery partners, including DIUS, the Department for Children, Schools and Families, the LSC, QIA, OFSTED and SSDA contribute to the work of the BRG.
The QCA/Ofqual Simplification Plan, which can be downloaded from this page, outlines the action which has been taken and the progress made to reduce the level of bureaucracy in our programme of work. The plan includes significant information about the progress being made in the reduction of unnecessary bureaucracy in the work that we do, and sets out the organisation's plans for 2008/09.
