LearnDirect / QCA Conversion table

Conversion tables (maps) have been produced and agreed with the relevant organisations, and they show how the sector and subject categories equate to other popular classification systems currently in use. The LearnDirect classification system is a framework of some 5,000 categories, structured in a hierarchy of several tiers. It is used by LearnDirect to classify and categorise all the courses and qualifications currently available in the UK.

This document was published by the Qualifications and Curriculum Authority (QCA). The regulatory function of QCA is now the responsibility of the Office of the Qualifications and Examinations Regulator (Ofqual). Ofqual regulates qualifications and monitors national curriculum assessments in England.
