Regulatory principles for e-assessment

Last updated on: 08/04/2008

In April 2007 the regulators of England, Wales, Northern Ireland and Scotland issued the Regulatory principles for e-assessment. They must be used in conjunction with the other relevant codes and criteria wherever technology is used to assist or facilitate the assessment process. These regulatory principles are designed to be flexible and to promote and encourage developments in qualification and assessment design.

This document was published by the Qualifications and Curriculum Authority (QCA). The regulatory function of QCA is now the responsibility of the Office of the Qualifications and Examinations Regulator (Ofqual). Ofqual regulates qualifications and monitors national curriculum assessments in England.
