Changes to the National Qualifications Framework

Last updated on: 08/04/2008

The National Qualifications Framework (NQF) helps learners to make informed decisions about the qualifications they need. They can compare the levels of different qualifications and identify clear progression routes for their chosen career.

This document describes the revised NQF and provides examples of qualifications that can be achieved at each level.

This document was published by the Qualifications and Curriculum Authority (QCA). The regulatory function of QCA is now the responsibility of the Office of the Qualifications and Examinations Regulator (Ofqual). Ofqual regulates qualifications and monitors national curriculum assessments in England.
