Diploma lines of learning criteria
Last updated on: 31/07/2009
Awarding bodies can use these criteria to create the detail of the principal learning specifications and requirements for how their qualification will operate.
Some of these documents were published by the Qualifications and Curriculum Authority (QCA). The regulatory function of QCA is now the responsibility of the Office of the Qualifications and Examinations Regulator (Ofqual).
Ofqual has adopted the line of learning criteria following development and consultation by QCDA, working with awarding organisations and DDPs (Diploma Development Partnerships), following development of the DDPs' line of learning statements. The DDPs are partnerships of employers, higher education and other sector / line of learning experts and education representatives brought together by Sector Skills Councils (SSCs).
