Transition to the new conditions for recognised awarding organisations

Each awarding organisation recognised under the regulatory requirements that were in force up until 18th July 2011 must familiarise itself with the General Conditions of Recognition and its governing body must provide its statement of compliance with those conditions no later than 18th May 2012.

In April and May 2011, we facilitated a number of sessions with Awarding Organisations to focus on the strategic model for regulation. We are following these up with a series of other workshops and meetings with Awarding Organisations which have been communicated through a letter to all Responsible Officers of Awarding Organisations. Between 16th May 2011 and 9th June 2011, we asked Awarding Organsiations to submit questions and queries that related to the general conditions of recognition to a central email address .
