The ASCL Act and the strategic model for regulation require changes to the nature of the relationship between, and the respective accountabilities of, the regulator and the regulated. In our consultation From Transition to Transformation we set out how we will undertake our regulatory role, and what we expect from the governing bodies of Awarding Organisations:

In April and May 2011, we facilitated a number of sessions with Awarding Organisations to focus on the strategic model for regulation. View the presentation from the sessions.

We are following these up with a series of other workshops and meetings with Awarding Organisations which have been communicated through a letter to all Responsible Officers of Awarding Organisations. Download the RO3/2011 letter to Responsible Officers
