Ofqual, the Office of the Qualifications and Examinations Regulator, requires a robust piece of secondary research into education systems worldwide to inform its programme of international comparisons. This research will give a high level picture of the education system and structures in place in 30 countries identified by Ofqual. It will also provide detailed information on the qualifications and assessment arrangements in these countries. This will cover the whole education journey from pre-primary to upper secondary education. The research should provide the regulator with a validated bank of referenced information in the form of 30 “assessment profiles”
