This work forms part of the ABDA Research project, which is conducting a comparison of 2008 and 2010. The strand of work we are tendering for focuses on the analysis of A level student work (scripts) and comparison of the associated documents (which includes specifications, guidance documents, mark schemes, chief examiners report and other qualification or assessment documentation), across six different subjects.
The project was set up to investigate the impact of the changes to the structure of A levels in terms of the quantity and quality of student work produced in response to the new awards. This particular strand of research will examine the stretch and challenge, reduction of units from 6 to 4 and A* elements.
