Awarding Organisation Monitoring

We monitor all awarding organisations that are recognised to deliver accredited qualifications. By doing this we can make sure that the way they operate follows our regulations and is fair and consistent. Our findings and our ways of working are outlined in our awarding organisation reports and annual reports.

Awarding organisation self-assessment

Awarding organisations use self-assessment methods to ensure continuous improvement of their operations. We provide guidance for evaluating and improving that performance .

Where an awarding organisation develops and/or delivers e-assessment within its accredited qualifications, we offer additional guidance for e-assessment in self-assessment .

Awarding organisation reports

These are post-accreditation reports, based on our findings from monitoring each awarding organisation’s systems and procedures against our regulatory criteria. We give the awarding organisation concerned an opportunity to respond to these findings and publish those responses alongside our awarding organisation reports.

Annual reports

Our annual reports cover regulatory monitoring and reporting. They show the methods we have used to monitor awarding organisations and the lessons we have learned from those activities.
