Ofqual supports Schools Art Exhibition

Ofqual, the independent regulator of qualifications and examinations, is delighted to announce that it is supporting the Coventry Schools Art Exhibition at the Herbert Art Gallery & Museum.
The exhibition, a partnership between Coventry schools, the Herbert Art Gallery & Museum and Ofqual, will feature art works by secondary school pupils from across the city.
Jodie Masser,17, from Caludon Castle School, one of the students whose work will be shown in the exhibition, said, “I’m thrilled. It’s a great opportunity for us all because it gets our work seen by other people, and I think it will help with my university application.”
Heads of Art in local schools have been asked to enter artwork by their students for inclusion in the exhibition. The works can be produced using any medium, as long as the work has been produced as part of their curriculum studies in the 2009-10 school year. The exhibition will run from 12th June to 4th July 2010.
Visitors to the exhibition will be asked to vote for their favourite work, and also for the work which best reflects the theme of learning. Prizes will be awarded.

It fits perfectly with the work we do with learners and we are very keen that the chosen artwork reflects the range and theme of the students learning. I am looking forward to viewing all the submissions."
