Vocational qualifications have real value, says Ofqual

As many learners celebrate gaining vocational qualifications, Kathleen Tattersall, Chair of Ofqual and Chief Regulator, said:

"At Ofqual we are working to ensure that all regulated qualifications are of a highest quality and meet the needs of learners and employers.

"VQ Day serves not only to pay tribute to the work of colleges, students, teachers, lecturers and employers, but to highlight the vital role of regulated vocational qualifications.

"I want to take this opportunity to congratulate all those students on gaining their qualifications and wish them well in the future."

Ofqual will be celebrating the achievements of vocational learners by attending some of many events taking place across the country today.

Ofqual will be represented at the Belfast Awards Ceremony, the VQ Day flagship event at the Royal Horticultural Halls in London and local events at Warwickshire College and North Warwickshire and Hinckley College.
