On 23 May 2012, the Government published a review of the tax arrangements of public sector appointees. The review identified the number of off payroll engagements worth more than £58,200 per annum across government - and made recommendations to improve the tax transparency of these kind of arrangements. The following document constitutes Ofqual's submission to this review. The full review and recommendations can be found at www.hm-treasury.gov.uk.

Summer Exams 2012

The vast majority of students take the final exams of their course in the summer before progressing to further or higher education. In summer 2012 students will sit GCSE and A level exams between 14th May and 27th June. Awarding bodies will issue GCSE results on 16th August and A level results on 23rd August.
