Ofqual publishes interim report on Reliability research

Ofqual today (Monday, July 26) publishes an interim report on its programme of research looking at the reliability of assessment results.

The Reliability Programme is a two-year research programme investigating the reliability of results from assessments and factors that may affect the reliability of assessment outcomes.

Summaries of the research carried out so far are included in the report published today, along with information on other work currently underway or planned.

Projects in progress at the moment include studies looking at aspects of reliability in relation to GCSEs, A levels, vocational qualifications and teacher assessments.

Findings from all of the research will be analysed and evaluated as Ofqual develops regulatory policy on reliability issues.
