Ofqual Statement in Response to Wolf Report

Ofqual welcomes the publication of Professor Alison Wolf's review of vocational education. Ofqual regulates vocational qualifications in England and Northern Ireland.
Ofqual Chief Executive, Glenys Stacey said "We welcome the report's endorsement of our strategic approach to regulating awarding organisations rather than regulating individual qualifications. This is the approach we will be taking to all qualifications, including vocational qualifications. There are some important challenges in the report to the way regulation has been done in the past, and we will consider these carefully. We will also discuss with the Government its response to Professor Wolf's recommendations which may impact on Ofqual."
