High quality vocational qualifications can enhance life and work chances
Wednesday, 22 June 2011 09:40
Employers from around the country will help mark VQ Day today by getting together to discuss the importance of vocational qualifications and the role they play within businesses.
Glenys Stacey, Chief Executive of Ofqual said: "VQ Day allows us the opportunity to pay tribute to the work of colleges, students, teachers, lecturers and employers but, more importantly, to recognise how vocational qualifications can enhance life and work chances of millions of people of all ages.”
We will be contributing to the discussions with employers and attending some of the many events taking place across the country today.
We will be represented at the Belfast Awards Ceremony, the VQ Day flagship event at Westminster Kingsway College in London and local events at Warwickshire College and Walsall College.
