A New Look at Standards

On Thursday 13th October we hosted 'A New Look at Standards'. The purpose of the event was to open up the debate on standards, taking a fresh look to identify the issues surrounding the regulatory agenda.

This debate will inform the work of Ofqual in developing and strengthening standards over the next two years.

The Secretary of State for Education the Right Honourable Michael Gove MP gave the key note address.

He was joined by other speakers: Glenys Stacey, Chief Executive of Ofqual, Dennis Opposs, Ofqual's Director of Standards and Tim Oates, Group Director of Assessment Research and Development for Cambridge Assessment.

There was also a panel discussion on qualification content and grading.
