Below are some frequently asked questions to help you with using RITS.
RITS User guides
Detailed information is available in the RITS User Guides. The User Guides can be found on our website at www.ofqual.gov.uk/rits and also from the RITS home page. You may also find the helptext at the top of each RITS screen useful.
The four User guides are:
RITS User Guide: Administration
This contains information on Login and Passwords/ General navigation and searching/ User maintenance/ Organisation maintenance/ Contact maintenance and Document maintenance.
RITS User Guide: Qualifications
This contains information on Searching/creating/amending and reviewing qualifications.
RITS User Guide: Structures and Rules of Combinations (ROCs)
This contains information on Searching/creating and amending structures and ROCs which includes pathways, labelling groups etc.
RITS User Guide: Units
This contains information on Searching/creating and reviewing units.

Qualifications
Once I have submitted my qualification what is the timescale for getting it onto the Register of Regulated Qualifications?
We deal with submissions as quickly as we can. Each submission is dealt with on an individual basis, so it is not possible to provide timescales.
General
How often is the Register of Regulated Qualifications updated with new information?
The Register of Regulated Qualifications is updated every evening.
Where can I find information on the EQF levels for qualifications?
You can find the EQF level of a qualification on RITS under the ‘Structure Details’ of the qualification.

Does it matter which browser I use?
In order to ensure full RITS functionality the optimum configuration is Internet Explorer 8. It is possible to use Firefox (v.3) with Windows for most functionality. However, RITS is a Windows-based system and as such will give limited functionality on other operating systems such as Mac or Linux.
